The commercial split solar water heater system (Commercial Split Solar Water Heater) is specifically designed for scenarios with concentrated hot water demands such as hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, bath centers, large employee dormitories, etc. The system features an efficient flat plate collector array and a large-capacity pressure-bearing hot water storage tank installed separately. The collectors can be flexibly arranged on rooftops, floors, or walls, while the water tank is placed in the equipment room or basement, perfectly resolving the contradiction between building appearance and space utilization. The capacity can be customized from 100L to 2000L as needed, and multiple units can be connected in parallel to expand to a larger scale.

Working principle

The system adopts the forced circulation indirect heat exchange principle: The flat collector absorbs solar radiation, and the blue titanium film heat-absorbing coating converts light energy into heat energy, heating the anti-freezing medium in the heating channel. When the temperature of the collector is 5-8℃ higher than that of the water tank bottom, the intelligent controller starts the circulation pump, pumping the high-temperature medium into the heat exchange coil inside the water tank. The heat is transferred through the pipe wall to the domestic water, and the cooled medium returns to the collector, forming a closed loop. The water tank is directly connected to the tap water, with a pressure of 0.6 MPa, and the water pressure is constant. On rainy days or when there is insufficient light, the system automatically starts electric auxiliary heating or联动 heat pumps and gas boilers to ensure constant temperature water supply throughout the day.

Installation Precautions

1. Collector Array Design: The collectors face south (north in the Southern Hemisphere), with an inclination of ±10° from the local latitude. Multiple sets of collectors are connected in series and parallel to ensure balanced flow. The spacing between the front and rear rows should be ≥ 2.5 times the height of the collector, to avoid blocking in winter.

2. Water Tank Selection and Placement: A 2000L water tank can hold approximately 2.2 tons of water. It should be placed on an indoor load-bearing floor or a dedicated equipment foundation, with reserved drainage floor drains and maintenance access.

3. Pipeline System: The circulating main pipeline is recommended to be made of stainless steel or copper, with a thermal insulation thickness of ≥ 50mm. Outdoor pipelines are equipped with heating tapes to prevent freezing in winter.

4. Anti-freezing Measures: In cold regions, propylene glycol antifreeze must be added to the solar side, with the concentration adjusted according to the local minimum temperature.

5. Electrical Safety: The controller, circulation pump, and auxiliary heat source should be on separate circuits. Install leakage protection switches and ensure reliable grounding.

6. System Debugging: After installation, conduct a 1.2 MPa water pressure test on the collector side and the water tank side separately. Keep the pressure for 30 minutes without leakage; after injecting antifreeze, the system air must be purged.
