Twenty sets of flat-panel solar water heaters provide the hotel with a steady supply of hot water throughout the day. 


Project Overview

This overseas chain hotel energy-saving renovation project involved the batch purchase of 20 sets of flat-panel solar water heaters. The entire system adopted commercial flat-panel collectors equipped with High Selective Absorbing Coating for efficient heat absorption, combined with pressure-bearing enamel water storage tanks. It was specifically designed to meet the 24-hour continuous hot water demand of the hotel. This is a benchmark project case for overseas commercial flat-panel solar water heaters.

The hotel has 86 guest rooms. Daily washing, swimming pool, and kitchen cleaning require a large amount of hot water. The original gas boiler had high operating costs and exceeded the carbon emission standards. The project selected 20 sets of flat-panel solar water heaters to form a centralized heating array. The flat-panel collectors were uniformly installed on the roof. The High Selective Absorbing Coating for high selectivity absorption was used to significantly improve the heat collection efficiency. During sunny periods, the flat-panel solar water heaters alone could fully meet all the hot water needs of the hotel. On cloudy days, they would automatically auxiliary heating sources to achieve energy conservation and reduction of emissions.

Core configuration of 20 sets of flat plate solar water heating systems

The standardized commercial solution for 20 sets of flat plate solar water heaters: Each set is equipped with a large-sized flat plate collector, with the heat-absorbing surface using our self-developed High Selective Absorbing Coating, achieving a heat absorption rate of over 95%; it is also paired with a large-capacity pressure-bearing insulated water tank, with the insulation layer made of high-density polyurethane to retain heat, with a temperature drop of less than 5℃ within 24 hours; it is also equipped with a circulation pump, an intelligent control cabinet, and a constant temperature mixing valve, suitable for stable water supply conditions in hotels.

The 20 sets of flat plate solar water heaters are arranged in different zones, making full use of the limited space on the hotel roof, installation is convenient, the later maintenance is simple, there is no need for frequent repairs, and it meets the long-term operation requirements of overseas hotels. 


Project effectiveness

Since the 20 sets of flat-panel solar water heaters were put into use, the hotel's gas energy consumption has directly decreased by 65%, significantly reducing operating costs. Thanks to the excellent light-to-heat conversion performance of the High Selective Absorbing Coating on the surface of the flat-panel collectors, hot water can be independently supplied by the flat-panel solar water heaters throughout the spring and autumn seasons. Excess heat in summer can be used to maintain the constant temperature of the outdoor swimming pool. The entire set of flat-panel solar water heaters has passed CE and Solar Keymark international certifications, is resistant to salt fog and ultraviolet rays, and maintains stable performance even after 20 years of use in coastal hotels.

With the high heat absorption coating, stable centralized water supply, and significant energy-saving benefits.
